Setting up home with a Partner

Buying a property or just moving in with your partner raises all kinds of legal points. Very few realise the implications and risks of not formalising any arrangements and expert advice should always be sought. Unmarried couples have very little protection under the law if a relationship breaks down or the partner dies.

Gough Clinton & Broom can help with:

  • Pre-Nuptial Agreements and
  • Living Together Agreements.

These serve a useful purpose in setting out what each party expects of the other during the relationship or at the end of it, including if one of you dies. They can set out the arrangements to reflect each party's financial contributions so, if the relationship should break down, matters can be dealt with fairly.
